Ruth Marie by Mark Kozelek/Red House Painters.

Sung from the perspective of a mother/grandmother singing to her daughters/granddaughters from a nursing home. Really a sad, beautiful, haunting song. Here's some of the lyrics:

I grew so old in the house I lived in
They brought me here because I can't take care
I lost my worth and my purpose here
I hear you cry, but I can't speak my mind
Will you hold me and never let me go
Because I hate it, when you walk outside the door
Because I know I can't ever see your eyes
The eyes I gave you

When my eyes shut, they'll take me to that land
For fifteen years, I lived there with my man
And on my own, I lived for forty more
I watched you grow up from babies on the floor
To the beautiful women that you are
And I hate it, that you've gone away so far
But I know I will always see those eyes
The eyes I gave you...

The evening falls, they'll drag me down the hall
Up to my bunk, and drug me till I'm numb
But past the haze, I see your pretty face
Remember me when I'm gone...

If you've ever watched your grandmother or mother die, this song will get you.

It's not the most depressing, but it makes me cry whenever I listen to it. The lyrics are really sweet. :]

"I Will Remember You" by Sarah McLachlan. I had put this on a tape I made for my boyfriend, whom passed away a year later. This song makes me cry.

Like Toy Soldiers, by Eminem.
If you understand it or see the music video, it is very depressing. However the rhythm is good.

Any Christian-Rock, stuff by Celine Dion, and stuff by bands like Busted and McFly. These are all equal in their ability to make me want to kill myself. There is no one song.
