ok...so im basically crap on 1on 1's.....i can never beat the defensemen
i know that one way to do it is fake oneside and just go around them.....are there anyother ways? (besides toedrags)

There are all kinds of ways...put the puck between their legs and go around. If you are a little guy...you can duck around them. Sometimes its better to just shoot through their legs because the goalies often times can't see the shot coming (I know this from Goalie experience). There are endless possibilities!!

Only limit is your creativity.
Try holding the puck with your backhand, on your forehand side. Use the arm on side closest to defenseman to stop him from poke-checking and try to slide around him. Shoot with your backhand or pull over to forehand.
Just one idea...

You can always dump and chase your own puck.
Stupid to give it up, but if there's a chance you can get it, it's better than just handing it over to their D with a bow on top.

just keep practising on your stick handling and don't look down at the puck keep your eyes on the defender cause if you keep your head down he will take the puck away from you or he will knock you on your a-s-s. remember practise this stick handling by keeping your head up the more you practise then you will have the feel of the puck and you wont have to look down at it. keep practising.

my favorite is bury you head and just pump your legs around them

You can go between their legs or go wde also.
