Where can i find information on Jane Austen?

Question

I'm doing a project on the book Pride and Prejudice. I need backround information on the author but I can't seem to find much on her or any pictures.

When I look her up under an image search I get pictures from the movies and of charecters so I don't know if it's her

There's only one picture of her, a drawing by her sister Cassandra, she's wearing a funny little bonnet, and apparently it doesn't look too much like her.

Try Yahoo! searching The Jane Austen Society for some background info.

for pictures of her, just do a search on www.google.com and select images instead of web. When I tried, I found a bunch.
