there are no buttons that i can see. there is only a knob that turns the refridgeration part from low to high. the ice is more than an inch thick and i really need to keep something frozen. help!

the old fashioned way works best, but it is time consuming. Just boil water in a pot, then place the pot; without lid; in the fridge and close the door. The steam from the pot will loosen the ice and you should be able to take it out by hand.

YOU HAVE TO JUST SHUT IT OFF UNTIL THE ICE MELTS AND IS GONE. DON'T USE ANYTHING SHARP TO HURRY IT UP!!! A WARM PAN OF WATER WILL HELP. THOSE LITTLE REFRIGERATORS NEVER(ALMOST) HAVE ANY AUTO DEFROST AND THAT'S WHY THEY ARE LOW PRICED.
