In the song "miracle drug" by "U2" Bono says he has had enough romantic love and would give it up for the miracle drug (the solving of the big issues facing humanity?). Is he suggesting that people should sacrifice romance to allow more time/money for solving the worlds big issues?

It has to grow, you either grow apart or together. We have been married 32 years, it takes work. A good relationship continues to evolve, or you have nothing. A roomate.

When you are first in a relationship everything is new and exciting. You are constantly discovering things about your partner and every moment is a "first". Through the years, some of the newness might wear off, but there are still many things that are exciting, but is different than before so I would say that romance definitely evolves.
I don't think love can be defined. For example, I thought I loved my husband when we were first together, but now after we have been married for awhile have children, and been through various struggles, I realize I did not know what love was back then and have a deeper love and appreciation for him and for us.

I believe it evolves, in a good relationship the love deepens, it goes beyond romance and sex.

It should evolve. But then that's keeping in mind that both ppl are ppl who believe in growing and getting better as individuals.

I think it should def get better.

It depends on the couple. Some know how to keep the flames burning while others don't. If you really love your partner, you will do whatever is necessary to keep the fires burning.

it evolves bro. priorities and responsibilites change. enjoy the "romance" for what it is, and enjoy growing thru lifes different stages (parenthood, retirement, etc...) for what they are... it's all good bro. life is what you make of it. leave a legacy of happiness to those you encounter...
