Turn it into a catchy tune, and sing it

The kids show School House Rock did a song in which the preamble is sung numerous times. When I had to memorize the preamble, this really helped me. It makes it a lot easier to memorize when it follows a tune. Hope this helps.

i would break it in half for starters -- that way its not TOO overwhelming to look at. study the first half and keep repeating it out loud (out loud is the key there b/c not only are you saying it and looking at it, but your hearing it too.) THEN, i would have a family member (or whoever else is at your house) read it while u recite it to make sure u memorized the first half.

now do exactly the same with the second half _---- BUT ONLY AFTER YOU ARE COMPLETELY FINISHED WITH THE FIRST HALF!!!!

make sure u know the second half cold.

THEN, after you did the second half (by itself), read them together. it will be ALOT easier than trying to memorzie the entire thing at once b/c if you do that, then you will end up memorizing the beginning part really well, and the end.. eh.. this way you will for sure be able to memorize it.

good luck!!

You can record it on a casette and keep playing it, each time trying to keep up with the words.
You can copy it repeatedly, keep writing it down.
Some people learn faster by audio, others visually, and a third group rather by kinesthetic (feeling) input. If neither audio nor writing it down work very well for you, try to imagine yourself as the people who wrote it and try to feel what they were feeling while you listen to it or write it.

It depends on what kind of learner you are...

I found it was easy when I used Schoolhouse Rocks! My best friend and I memorized the song, and sang it to our class. We both got an A+!
