Just over the Golden Gate in Sausilito is the very best Sushi in all the Bay Area--SUSHI RAN. "Zagat Survey" rates it 27 on Food (compared, eg to Blowfish's 22). The food, which includes hot dishes and wine/saki bar and heavenly desserts as well as exquisitely mind-blowing sushi, is world class. The service, decor, presentation--all beautiful. Sushi Ran started as a little neighborhood joint and the word got out. It's right next to a good movie theater, too. You will have a great time there--the sushi chefs are adorable also! "Noname" Sushi, located in the mission. It's a little place, the glass is usually fogged up. It's actually not called "Noname" but the name is so faded noone really knows what it's called, that's why everyone calls it noname. The price is really cheap, and the rolls are delicious. Especially the spicy tuna.
