depends what you believe. the conservative christian belief is that cows and pigs and such are here for our food. i personally believe that all animals have rights, and its just the way evolution happened.
they dont technically have any rights, since they arent technically people.

of course not!
yes, monica is right, they do have the right to be eaten...
but they are here to make us wonder. that thing that says the percentage of cows lying down in a pasture is the percent chance of rain? and the mad cow disease? man.. thats another story. and yes, cows have rights. they have the right to a nice pasture, to know other cows, to exist, to EAT, and if we give them a pasture and food, we do honor some of these rights. they really do make us wonder. everytime somebody is unintelligent or boring, we make the cow noise at them, but really, cows could be the most intelligent creatures on this earth!! wouldnt that be something?!if they are, they could be here to wipe out and destroy the human race.

Before I can go anywhere with that question I'd have to first believe cows were "put" here.

Interesting thought, and it just may be pretty much true. All animals have rights of course. Among them being fresh air, quality sufficient food and water, enough space to be content, and the right to reproduce.

Cows were not "put on earth". They evolved just like we did.

Maybe we were "put on this earth" so that cows don't overpopulate it.

Everything has a right to exist, if that's what you're getting at.
