Please help me!! Some of my friends say this is maybe because I am going to have a boy...but the hair on my head isn't really growing faster...but facial hair is coming up in places that I have NEVER seen hair on a woman before, and the hair on my legs and arms are growing sooooo fast. Is this a sign of having a lil boy? I'm just curious, what is going on with my body??

It is the hormones your body is generating. It is normal, but I'm sure unwanted by you. Once your child is born you hair may start to fall out, not entirely, but some may. Your hair may not be the only thing that will be effected. Your breasts may grow as well. My wife went from an A cup to a D cup within our first pregnancy. After our child was born it reduced to a B cup. After our second child it went back up to a D cup and stayed there.

One book you may want to consider purchasing is "What to expect when your expecting." You can usually pick it up for less than $15 at Target or Walmart.

the hair is actually from your homromes being at the levels that they are at now. the bad news is that it might not stop growing even after you give birth. It is not however a sign of a boy or girl one way or the other. For that information you will have to wait at least until the ultra sound. Good Luck , be a great mom!

When a woman is pregnant, it's normal for her hair and nails to grow because the baby is growing his or her nails & hair, too. Your hormones are reacting to the baby's movement and the changes he or she's going through. The only way you'll know what you're having is when the doctor discovers the sex of the baby and decides to tell you.

pregnancy hormones affect different women in different ways, but the best advise i can give you is to check with your OBGYN.
i can see how the facial hair growth might be troubling to you and i would sure want to know if that was normal or not
also, i have never known those old wives tales to be all that accurate
be sure to ask your doctor for an ultrasound at 20 weeks or later, they can usually tell the sex at that point, with baby cooperation of course, lol

The pregnancy hormones can cause your hair to grow more quickly. It's not necessarily a sign of having a boy or a girl.

your body is going through a hormonal change. You will be going through a hormonal changes for the next few months and even after you give birth. Most of the time it's the prenatal vitamin we are given....they make your hair and nails grow like crazy....and even your skin changes....but don't worry....it's all absolutely normal.

If you are taking prenatal vitamins your hair nails will grow faster. As for the facial hair it is normal because of hormones. If you have discomfort contact your doctor otherwise your fine. congratz

It doesn't mean your having a boy it doesn't mean your not having a boy. It just means your body is reacting to the hormones you are producing. This is common, but it doesn't indicate the sex of the baby.
