It is the dry weight of a vehicle with no passengers or cargo.

Curb weight is the weight of the vehicle without any cargo.It usually includes a full tank of gas.It is also expressed as net weight or N.V.W and when it is loaded with cargo GVW.So if you have a half ton truck and the vehicle weighs 5000lb then the NET weight 5000lb plus the half ton added to this which is 1000lb then the GVW will be 6000lb.Hope this helps
