I have been with my boyfriend for a little over a year. When we first met he was going through a nasty break up with his son's mother so initially we just wanted to have fun, but we grew to love each other and here we are. What concerns me is that she makes threats about coming to my job and making a scene, or catching me off guard and beating me up, etc. She went as far as to leave him a message one time stating that if I got pregnant with his child, she would kill me and the baby. I don't think that she will act on her threats but it's been a year and a half! I want some peace at last! Her son adores me and wants to live with us, and that kills her and makes her go crazy!! She refuses to let us take custody even though she throws in my boyfriend's face the fact that he convinced her not to have an abortion and now she's stuck with a kid. I mostly let my boyfriend handle her but I'm at the end of my rope. Is there something legally I can do to make her stop?

I think the safest thing for you and your boyfriend to do is retain a lawyer and have them start a record of the threats and record phone calls and all. When you have enough information from the threats, he can take her to court to file for custody of his child. If it is not a safe and loving enviornment for the child with his mama, with his father is where he should be.

Take the recordings with her threats to the police and file a restraining order and after wards your boyfriend should file for custody of his child. If the courts think that he will be a better parent, they will give him custody. I would also inform security at your place of work to be on the look out for her psycho a**.

If she keeps making threats you should press charges. You never know what she will and won't do.
