It's true. Saturday Night Live has seen better days. Though it may be struggling without the writing of Tina Fey and the talent of Jimmy Fallon, don't forget that it has still been the greatest comedy show of our time.

The greatest comedians such as Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Dana Carvey, Adam Sandler, Darrel Hammond, Tracy Morgan, Phil Hartman, Will Ferral, Chris Farley and Seth Green all started their career as an SNL cast member. Between the great comedians were lousy episodes. Don't give up; SNL just needs some new talent.

I totally agree. I don't like the new actors they have on there. That and the hosts are supposed to actually be FAMOUS. Not just the flavour of the week. They should fire the new actors. Hire new ones. Either that or bring back old ones. What's Mango doing lately? lol. How about Jimmy Fallon? I don't think he has anything going on. How about Dana Carvey or Victoria Jackson? Bring them back too.

Sigh, no. My favorite generation of "Saturday Night Live" was the early 90's. Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Kevin Nealon, Phil Hartman, to name a few. Those were great years! Wish I could remember some of the female cast members though. :-/

tho there are humorous skits/ production numbers on occcasion (JTimberlake , and so on's 'dick in a field', Natalie Portman's rap/hiphop? video), for the main area that's predictable prefab comedy, basically good for videotaping/tivoing and rapid forwarding by using some time later. MADTV is constantly funnier, however that is side could make it as unwatchable as that's watchable... that's in all likelihood the purpose hwn doing irreverent socially proper comedy do not you think of? They do push the comedy envelope.... and their forged is greater distinctive, and exciting ,in assessment to the wasp legions at SNL...are not there ANY Hispanic improv actor/actresses to be modern-day in l. a., Chicago or ny?? they are ones i might prefer to verify, whoever they are....

I haven't watched it in a long time. It seems like even the actors are bored. I'm way old school-- from the John Belushi days! It was FUNNY then. Now it's just very unfunny.

It hasn't been funny for the last 15-20 years. Maybe you need to be stoned to find it funny, but I guess at that point almost anything would be funny.

No since NBC cut costs, that's why SNL casts are third rated and not as funny as it used to be.
