Eating healthier is much better for you and baby, As long as you don't go on a mad strict diet and start starving yourself you'll be doing good by your baby You'll cope with the pregnancy better and feel better if your eating healthier too :) Exercise is really good in pregnancy too. Just don't push your self really hard to do things your not used to. Try to walk a lot and just keep fairly busy. I walked loads in my pregnancy and i really think that's what kept me from gaining any extra baby weight. I was back to my pre preg weight 4 days after having Rosie then i lost loads more in the next couple of weeks, I felt great. Shame ive put weight on now though :( lol. Yoga would be great, You can get classes for pregnant women too so have a look out :) X

I'm on week 12 and I've lost one pound. I gained 2 pounds and somehow I've lost 3. And I'm eating a lot. But I have a 10 month old and I think I am using more energy than I thought so I'm just burning all those extra calories. Doctors say not to worry about weight loss until month 5 and then you should not lose any weight and should gain an average of a pound a week.

YES!!!! I lost a lot of weight until I was about 28 weeks. After that they were getting ready to put me on bed rest and I started to gain weight. It just depends on how much you are losing and how far along you are. At 1st it is very normal to lose weight, but towards the end is when you should worry.

If you're loosing weight during your pregnancy, you might want to consider consulting a physician. Weight loss, especially during the latter part of your pregnancy, can be a sign of gestational diabietes and it's always a good idea to go ahead and talk to your OB doctor about that.

It's completely normal to loose a tiny bit of weight during pregnancy, but just to be safe go ahead and mention it during your next check up.

some people do lose weight during pregnancy but you shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. especially early on a lot of women will lose a pound or two here or there, especially if they can't keep food down or aren't interested in eating much.
do know that if your body loses weight, it will continue to nourish your baby.

yes, it is possible, and not necessarily a bad thing. it all depends on your body, and your starting weight. people who are underweight should gain more than those who are not, and people who are overweight should not usually gain much at all, and in a lot of cases weight loss is actually better for the baby. talk to your doctor if you are concerned about your own weight gain during pregnancy.

At the beginning, definitely. Because at the beginning women are sick from morning sickness. I also know of friends of mine who didn't gain any weight during pregnancy and lost between 15-20 pounds. They were, however, overweight.

Yes, but it's not reccomended. You doctor will tell you not to lose weight while you are pregnant, it's not good for your baby. After the baby is born it is then safe to lose weight and it's more effective if you breast feed. Be very very careful. Losing weight when your pregnant means that your baby probably isn't getting the nutrician that he or she needs to make it in this world. Try not to stress on your weight while your pregnant, Enjoy being able to eat and blame it on someone else. After the baby comes it's easier to loose weight. Happy Holiday's and good luck!
