At the moment it is the xbox 360. It is the most reliable, has the best games, established multiplayer. The real console war will be next winter.

The Wii is awesome if you like interactive games. Between the PS3 and the Xbox 360, I would have to go with the Xbox 360. Why? Because all games for the Xbox 360 are in high-definition and the graphics are pretty much the same as the PS3. There's built-in support for wireless controllers and excellent online gaming, content downloads, and communications via Xbox Live. The console is not only backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles, but it also doubles as a superior digital media hub and Windows Media extender. The system's online Marketplace allows easy purchases of mini-games, movies, and TV shows. The Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features.

It really all depends on what kind of gamer you are, when it comes down to it. The Xbox 360 is the ideal system to go for any type of game they've pretty much released for it, and they've also got it to where (if you have a Live account) it's backwards compatible for a list of original Xbox games, which you can find on the Xbox website.

The Nintendo Wii, however, is for if you feel like getting all physical-like with kid-ish type of games. The Wii is a system I really want, along with a couple games. It also has Wii Sports with it, which is another cool aspect of the system. I love how the controllers are wireless and motion sensitive, and there's another controller that's nearly retro to the SNES controller...but with thumbsticks.

The PS3 I'm not too familiar or fond with. If anything, I'd get a PS2 because now they have silver editions and they're also only $130!

PS3, it has motion sensors, just like the Wii (it is the main controls for the game Warhwk). Theres also Blu-ray disc drive, which normally costs $1,000, thats whyy it costs so much. With memory stick slots on the PS3 makes it easier to transfer videos music & photos onto its 20GB or 60GB hard drive. It also can play PS2 and PS One games, and dvds. The wii can't even play dvds! It has you can also go on the internet and it even has its own instant messeging program, the wii doesn't have that. If you have a PSP your able to hook that up to the PS3 and tranfer files from your PSP to the PS3. You will also be able to use it in more many different things in games (like as the controller and rear view mirror in Formula 1). Plus theres games like Resistance Fall of Man, Madden, and Warhawk (which uses the motion sensors). If there are and glitches or problems i'm sure you will be able to fix them with the system updates, just like the PSP has. It may cost more but that's only cuz you are gettin more and at a better quality.

PS3 is great since because it has the best graphics that you can find. Wii is all about fun with physical movements that will keep you entertained for hours. 360 is okay since its like the lower grade version of the PS3 but the only good thing about it is the games and Xbox live Marketplace.

for the PS3 vs. 360 debate, it is all about the games. find the console that has more of the games you like and choose it.

The Wii is in a different class by itself. It supports the new type of user interface incorporating mostly last generation hardware
(no hd disk format, sound, or graphics and no Internet browsing capabilities).

It is basically a last gen console with the new control type designed to attract many non-gamers to try. Most regular gamers will grow tired of the new control interface in a few months when the novelty wears off and opt for the traditional control style of the PlayStation (2 or 3) or the xbox 360.

These things are not cheap so make sure you weigh all of the factors that mean anything to you before you decide which to purchase. DON'T buy anything based on hype or one game, think long term about which console will be best for you based on your personal tastes in games and level of gaming experience.

Or just buy them all like me.

i'd have to say the Wii because i'm a huge Zelda fan and Zelda Twilight Princess looks sweet. Gears of War does look really cool and i wish i had a 360 just so i could play it.
