There are so many people I know who think they have some kind of extraordinary power for no better reason than they simply want to feel like they make a bigger difference to the world than the rest of us do. For example, one guy I know thought he was the next Nostradamus because the song he has been singing to himself earlier in the day came on the radio. Wow. Nothing to do with it being in the top ten and getting played a million times a day.

Oh - back to the question - no, never had any experience like that. Thank you for letting me vent my fury, though.

Everyone possesses psychic abilities...it just depends on how open minded you are. If you allow dogma of religion or the world's skepticism influence you instead of trying to tap into your own abilities, then it won't work. I come from a long line of psychics (every woman on my mother's side) but when you say psychic, there's a broad topic of abilities. I'm empathic...all I have to do is be near you and I will feel exactly how you feel, whether you're happy, sad, angry, etc. I can also feel energy from the earth. I can see energy fields. There's been a medium, a precog, a telepath, a clairsentient, and a healer in my family. I've also been able to see my guide a few times, although I have to be in a very relaxed and mentally blank state of mind...and in my life that's a rarity. Is this magical...no. There's nothing magical about it.

It is very difficult to get an impression online rather than in person (and my talent is not great) but...
You have some trauma related to infancy... feels like a loss of /sepperation from a parent at or shortly after birth
You turned to spirituality/christianity to over come an addiction (alcohol, tobacco, drugs or all the above.. not sure which)
You have some fear issue with a woman closely related to you.
You would not be above some minor dishonesty if it would personally benifit you.

Oh, as for your silly drivel IcePrincess, I have NEVER taken money for anything remotely connected to psychic ability or magic worked on behalf of others, nor do I intend to. And, 'Demons' being responsible for phychic ability is nonsense. For someone that once walked the Wiccan path you are pretty ignorant and closed minded.

Magick is real... once you've experienced it there's no doubting. Of course, it's not like that stuff you see on TV shows. It's not so much that anyone "has" magickal powers, they exist and can be tapped into. Some are better at it than others. I've used it, but don't have much need to anymore.

Psychic powers are more individual, though it's quite possible that they are latent in everyone and can be developed. ( I think pretty much everyone has had a permonition come true, or had the feeling of deja vu. ) I haven't really worked on that.

In a lot of ways, it really depends on what you believe. There's lots of subjective evidence that supports both magick and psychism (and maybe some objective evidence, too), but there's no way to objectively prove that it exists or doesn't. This leaves it up to us to decide... and I figure the world's more fun if it's real!

I didn't use to believe that, until I started studying hoodoo. My great uncle was born with a veil....a rare occurance that some say signifies "a gift" of sight. The veil was cut away and burned....as people feared such a thing at the time and didn't want anyone to know. Recently, I have been seeing vague images, both while resting with my eyes closed, and in my crystal ball. I don't know if it's my eyes and mind playing with me, or not.

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

Psychics get their information from demons, if they didn't they would be spending their time making this world a better place to live in with all the information they claim to have about the world, instead of taking everyone's money. demons are everywhere and since you can't see them, unless they are haunting houses, they can hnag around a person long enough to tell a psychic enough info about you to convince you to give more money. ect.

spiritual gifts are still in use today and come under different titles and names depending on your beliefs if you want want them just pray and ask god for them through the holy spirit and let him know what you need and how you plan to glorify him and his name with their use. and you don't need to be psychic to talk to angels they can change form and appear as animals or as a man or a woman. your interpretation of ceertain gifts was not in your question.you should've been more specific as I don't call my gifts mystical powers.

Psychicism an magick are two different things. It just so happens that many people who have developed their psychic ability also develop their magickal (as opposed to magical -stage craft) abilities.
