If your compression problem relates to being in .zip or .rar files, you can uncompress them for free; using 7-zip.

A quick note about installing fonts.
Having too many fonts installed not only slows down system and program performance, it can be difficult to find the font you need. When your system loads all the fonts are loaded into memory for your programs to use.
To many will lag your system when loading and may even prevent some programs from running. MS recommands only 200 to 500 fonts to be installed in the windows font folder. However, more can be loaded

Your best bet is to create a font folder and use a font viewer to view and install. Some of the better programs allow you to view and install fonts as well as to uninstall.

I like using The Font Thing.
It allows the user to view, install and uninstall fonts. Hands down this the best font manager I've ever used and its free!

Do a search on download.com for The Font Thing
