depends on the peircing. some do it to be cool. some like the look. peircings can be taken out tattoos cant. be grateful.

I'm just out of the teenage bracket, but I get piercings because I have a love for body modification, that includes tattoo too. I'm also a professional piercer.
I get my piercings for me. I like how they look, I love the procedure and skill required to do piercings. I love the adrenaline of getting a new mod too. I figure, I do what makes me happy and what makes me feel more like me. I express myself freely and live my one and only life the way that is most fun and colorful.

I am 17 years old and have 13 piercings, I love getting them because it's exciting and I feel like I'm improving myself. I don't intend to keep them forever, but it's part of who I am at the moment.
Getting a new piercing is like getting a fantastic new dress or a new necklace. I like the way they look, and I they make me feel good!
I also must say, that negative attitudes towards piercings simply encourage me...

ive 14 i have my ears, top of one ear, nose, && my belly done!
i think there nice. I love them but im not going to keep them forever.
There just like any other thing you buy which makes you look good! just think of them as a hat, or dress. something your wearing but can take out if you get fed up =]]

are you tryign to ask why teenagers get piercings ? well cause we think there cool, or cute, or sexy, or pretty, or whatever term you prefer to use.

cause it's awesome..........i'm too old, but i wish i wasn't ...i'd get my belly button pierced in a second..........call me crazy, but i'd let my daughter get her's done when she'll old enough
