People talk about this, i am breastfeeding and don't think i ever felt this. Does it mean i am not producing enough milk, after all my daughter does seem to be hungry every hour or two.

Your let down happens after your baby sucks quickly in the begining and your milk "let's down" meaning coming out. Some women don't feel it and that is ok. But usually it is slight cramping, tingling in your breasts but goes away quickly after the let down happens. I didn't feel it at all when nursing my son until I went back to work and started to pump. So if your baby is peeing and pooping and is satisfied all is well. Congrats!

"Let-down" sensation is the tingling (almost painful sometimes) that you feel as your milk really starts to flow. If you feel that your milk is not flowing easily after a minute or so of nursing, your baby could be poorly latched on. It takes a good latch to really get the let-down sensation and start the fast flowing milk. Sometimes (if you don't have a prominent let-down) you will notice that all of a sudden the baby is having a harder time swallowing due to excess milk. You have experienced "let-down". Talk to a lactation consultant (or your OB/GYN) if you don't feel that your baby is getting an adequate supply of milk. They can help you figure out what is not working. Good luck!

It's like a warm, tingly feeling you get when milk is produced; I usually get it every time I feed my son but not everyone gets it and it doesn't mean you're not producing enough milk. Just one of those things! :)

I never felt it either. You're probably producing plenty of milk. Your baby would tell you if you weren't. I fed my daughter every one to two hours until she was about 3 months. I'm sure you're fine.
