Sentence 1 is the best of the three. It is concise (meaning that is is simple, direct, and to the point) and grammatically correct. It's not what I would call "fresh"; it needs better descriptive language, but it works in a Hemingway sort of style.

Sentence 2 has the demonstrative pronoun "which" in an unfortunate spot that causes some confusion as to the antecedent for the reader who isn't paying close attention.

Sentence 3 begins with a dangling participle, so I'd have to ding you on that grammatical error.

Concise: one (short and to the point)
Fresh: three
Exact: none: "made noises" is too vague; "which" has bad pronoun reference (it's not the oak trees that you actually hear) and "a kind of groaning sound" is far from exact; it seems quite unlikely that frozen oak limbs could "sway". Three does not have a dangling participle though, "swaying in the wind" attaches quite nicely to "the frozen oak limbs".

I believe number three is the best answer because it gives the most descriptive information as to what is occurring.
Concise means brief and "to the point". Consult the dictionary.

What Is Concise Language

"Concise" means short and to the point. I would choose sentence three; it conveys considerable meaning and description in relatively few words. Sentence two is too wordy; sentence one is not descriptive enough to make me call it "fresh."
