I feel bad that you think so low of yourself that you call yourself ugly. God does not make junk. Find out what the newest styles are in clothes put your best foot forward and apply for the clothing shops, it is good to learn how to work with the public and and as for tying on clothes not everyone is model material find colors that compliment your skin and your hair, see what jewelry looks good on you as well. Never disrespect yourself and don't put yourself down, you will get a job if you work at it and do your best.

Undoubtedly! Many jobs requiring extensive public interaction will naturally go to those who fit the interviewers idea of an appearance their average customer finds pleasing. Those of us who do not fit the narrow definition of attractiveness predominant in society should go where our technical skills or good work ethic give us an edge. I am as ugly as a mud fence in the spring thaw but I still make a six figure income as an electronic warfare consultant. Many attractive young people come to me every day needing my help to get out of Afghanistan alive. They do not seem to care that I am a big middle aged dude with a huge beard so long as I can solve their problems. Remember, no matter how ugly you think you are some one out there thinks you are beautiful. My wife thinks I am handsome, poor deluded thing. I would almost feel bad about her delusional state if it did not work so greatly to my advantage.

I think people who are less easy on the eyes do have a harder time in life in general and they do experience subtle and not so subtle discrimination. This is doubly true in the clothing industry and in any area where you come in contact with the public.

of course! i wouldn't want to buy something thats suppose to look good when the person selling it me is not all that attractive. it's just how we have all been brought up, we live in a world where sex sells, or in this case sexiness.

if thats you in the picture then all you have to do is get contacts, wear your hair up, and get different clothes. then you could probably work in the clothing store of your choice.

I don't think that anyone is "ugly." We all look different from others. That's what makes the world go round.

Sure you could work in a sweater store!
