Check with various clubs in your area like VFWs. American Legions, Moose Lodge, Elks lodge, Eagles lodge, Masonci Temple..etc etc etc allot of these places will either rent you a hall rather inexpensive or ask for a donation. don't forget your local churches they sometimes have halls. Some resturants have space if you're going to eat or purchase your finger food from then...Good Luck enjoy and buy your mother something nice..

Many of the young people I know find that having a birthday party at the local skating rink, or bowling alley is the "place to be". We have a restuarant here called DAVE AND BUSTERS. (check for locations - they seem to be everywhere) They are situated in the 'mall' -a very trendy place where you can enjoy "walking" the mall with your friends- stop and take pictures, get massages, and even water massages. DAVE AND BUSTERS offer traditional entertainment options including: pocket billiards, shuffleboard tables, a "Show Room" and many other "carnival" -type games that you can play. You get tickets when you win and can continue to play throughout the night. Meanwhile, you order your meals (great selections). You can have your own cake (no ice cream however), play games, and have fun. The great part about the resturant is that your parents can have fun too! I am planning my daughter's 24th birthday there. I expect it to be a lot of fun. There might be one concern howevever - it's kind of pricey, but worth it. You might also consider LASER TAG. There are many of these sites popping up. Kids put on rain gear and hats and walk into the BLACK LIGHT ROOM where they experience hours of fun shooting paint at each other. You can have teams of people playing. The site that I know of is very, very safe - allowing only certain groups (ages) in at a time. In other words, a 4 year old would not have to stand up against a 13 year old. I hope these suggestions help you make a decision. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY. P.S. When you know where you want to have it - have some really great invitations made (on computer, by hand or Kinko's - ) and have a fun way of giving them out at your school or a place where all your friends can gather. (I know you watch MTV My 16th Birthday! (great party ideas! lol)
