I've never managed to get it to connect to the internet at all. Wifi is no problem but don't expect to be able to surf on the one I've been fortunate to receive.

We had a similar problem and after weeks of battling, found it to be wrong log in details on the hub..instead of your e-mail address ****@btinternet.com use ****@btbroadband.com, to get to the log in details on the hub, type bthub.config into your address bar in internet explprer. Hope this helps :-)

Hi,

If you are unfortunet to have a BT Homehub and surf the internet using Wireless then I would change the wireless chanel from default auto (1) to a higher chanel such as 10 or 11 depending on the ability of your wireless adaptor in your laptop or PC.

If you are having problems keeping online being directly connected via Ethernet or USB then it could be one of the following;

Poor Router
Old Firmware witin router (needs update)
Bad Phone Line
Not using pure Data cable from PC to Routor to phone box

Try using a connection manager to test the internet and your router you can download the following that may help;

what is a BT hub? why are you on your 3rd in a 6 weeks?

your highspeed ISP should be able to walk you through the setup to connect you to the internet, then your hub wired and wireless should connect to the modem and handle loggin into the ISP then going wireless in your home should be no problem.

They are useless. We've had 3. Internet phone still doesn't work. We don't get the calls promised in the package. If you phone them up you are on for hours and it costs money and we are locked into an 18 month contract. Good luck

They are rubbish ,my daughter had the same problem a few weeks ago.

Scotty ,you are not tied in for 18 months,your contract is for a service and they are not providing it ,you can cancel,you are well within your right to do so.

My daughter has cancelled ,they kept saying she couldnt till she threatened them with citizens advice.
