Baby turtles can be tough. That is one reason they are illegal to sell in the US.

I am going to assume they are either Red-ear sliders or Painted turtles. In either case, they won't eat vegetables of any kind until they get over about 4" long.

There are a few basic reasons turtles don't eat. Turtles love and need space, warmth, sunlight, clean water and good food.

Space: Aim for a tank that offers more than 10 gallons of swimming space per inch of turtle. If you have 3 1" turtles, you need a tank with 30 gallons of water in it.

Warmth: Aim for tank temps of 75-80F, with basking sites at 90F.

Sunlight: Besides a heat lamp for the basking site, you need lighting that acts like the sun, especially the ultraviolet B rays which do not pass through most glass or plastic. Try a good reptile light bulb that brags about 'UV-B'.

Clean water: Use about 2-3 times more fitration than the same size fish tank would use. Clean water reduces stress, smells, and disease.

Good food: Turtles won't eat if they are cold, 'sad', or ill. Fix the above items first, then see if their appetites perk up.

A good turtle diet is about 25% good pellets, and the rest in live or frozen/thawed small fish, worms, bugs, shrimp, etc. Babies especially like bloodworms.

some turtles when they are just taken from the wild or the pet sotre you need to match the feeding times they have. like for instance turtles hibernate! they dont eat during the winter theres no food and its COLD! dont worry! its all going to be okay! they are just notcing the climate change and are most likely hibernating.

Since it is december, it is probably hibernating. I wondered the same thing the first winter i had my box turtle. just keep food and water available to it and it will be fine. if you have a heating lamp, it won't hibernate. they are resilent little guys.
