The hormones from the shot itself can make you experience the symptoms you're having.

Unfortunately, I've heard of many failures using Depo...among them 2 family members who are now pregnant despite being on the injection. For your own peace of mind, buy a pregnancy test at the drug store and take the test first thing in the morning. If it's negative, and you continue to experience those symptoms for another week, go to your doc. If the pregnancy test is positive, you have some decisions to make and should see your doc soon. Good Luck!

It's possible you could be pregnant, but very unlikely. If I were you I'd do a pregnancy test to make sure.

If it comes back negative then see your doctor (in fact see your doctor if it comes back positive too!).

How long have you been having the injection? 'Cause if you only started using it recently then it's likely that these symptoms are side-effects of it. They should settle down in their own before too long, but if it goes on your doctor might be able to give you something to stop the nausea and stop you feeling bloated.

Contraceptives have all sorts of weird side-effects; mostly ones that make you feel like you're pregnant or permanently pre-menstrual - not fun! Once your body gets used to it you should feel better.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

It could be a variety of things - I have similar symptoms due to stress-induced irritable bowel syndrome, but I understand that food intolerances and other bowel disorders can cause similar patterns. If it doesn't settle down after a few days, maybe you should see a doctor. It might be worth keeping a journal of what you've eaten and what happened during the day and see if there's anything in particular which seems to trigger the symptoms.

Could be hormonal side effects of the shot- they are listed on their website and on the insert, and your doctor should have warned about them. Couple months ago, I was on the pill to regulate my period, and I felt like that all the time ( I also knew I was not pregnant b/c I have and IUD and I was taking the pill). I hated the side effects with a passion- they suck majorly.
To be on the safe side, have a pregnancy test done, but most likely it is just side effects. They do get better, but if they bother you, try a different method (IUD has worked great for me, but there's a patch and the ring, if you don't like pills)

I'll bet you are pregnant if not side effects from the injections. But I think you better start getting used to the idea of being a mother. Lots of luck Mommy

My friend had these symptoms a few weeks ago (but actually vomiting as well) and went to the docs. He did a pg test and it was neg. he diagnosed mild gastroenterisis(Sp?!) and gave her some antibiotics. She is now fine. It could also be a food intolerance. Have yoy changed your diet recently?

Possibly a case of gastric illness or possibly irritalble bowel syndrome - best to consult the doc though to rule out anything really serious and the possibility of being pregnant.

I got pregnant before while on Depo (for 2 years straight), so yo may not be able to rule that out! Take a preg test just to be sure.

You have some of the symptoms of pregnancy, despite your injections. I would recommend doing a home pregnancy test; if that is negative, then go to see your doctor.
