I just started a new job but I am completely unhappy. I've hardly been trained on everything and my manager hates it when I say "I Didn't Know!" Which is why - I'm under trained so I hardly know anything. I'm still in my orientation period and already I want to quit. Do I tough it out? Do I start the job search again?

Job is like a relationship. Tough it out until you get something better.

Stick it out. Most orientations leave you more disoriented in the beginning. If the pattern continues, speak with your manager. Tell them you just don't feel like you're catching on like you should. It's entirely possible that they do not realize that their orientation stinks. As you get closer to the end of your orientation be honest with yourself. If the job still sucks start looking for something else. Don't quit one job without having another lined up. That's like leaping into an empty pool.

Start the job search but tough it out until you get one. It is easier to get another job while you have one. If you are asked in an interview just tell them you took the current job because you need to work but you were hoping for better that is why you applied and came to the interview. Don't bash the bad job if you can get around it.

Do start the job search again, stay positive, open your mind.
There is a said: For one door that shuts, ten go open!
I know, it's hard to believe!
But now, that you know how unhappy you can be, you will look at other things, watch carefully the reactions of the manager for example!
If they ask people, they need them as much as you need a job.
They only try to let you believe you need them more.
Keep that in mind!
I wish you the best as I know the feeling and have been manipulated too!

tough it out for a bit. a new job is usually difficult at first. you need to give it some more time and give yourself a chance. if you still don't like it come the 6 months period start looking for a new job.

try it for a while before you quit. if its a new field you might just have to get more adjusted with everything when i did orientation with my job i wanted to quit too because i work better by my own pace. If you still dont like it after you come out of orientation look for something better before quitting

Get moving! If you hate the new job and it doesn't have much potential to get better, get moving. Find a new job. It won't look bad on your resume at 3 months....I would be questioning a move at one year more than 3 months.

And - life is too short to be in a bad job situation.

I'd say yes. I know that it's always beneficial to have a good background when it comes to lenght of employment but you should not stay at a job that you do not like.

Stick it out through the 90 days, then do something to get them to fire you, and get a big severance package. Yeah!

Or go out on a work comp claim...THAT is a gravy train
