OK, I looked (because you made me curious!)
It's 65,536 Rows X 256 Columns. But I just read that the upcoming version of MS Office will have a greatly expanded Excel spreadsheet capability.
Why would anyone heed 65,536 rows of data anyway? After all, you can always link worksheets and spreadsheets, if you have that much data to manage.

No need to look
Press CTRL + Down arrow to go to the end of an empty sheet
Press CTRL + Right arrow to go to the last column of the empty sheet.
So it is 65536 * 256 (Column IV)
cell address is IV65536
