Absolutely it is wrong.

I am a devout Christian and the Bible clearly states to love your neighbor as yourself. It clearly is NOT to only love your Christian neighbor, but ALL people.

Anyone can hate and be close-minded, it takes a better person to love the "unlovable".

Remember the Amish caring for the man's family that shot up the schoolhouse? THAT is a perfect example.

I think you know the answer to that. Of course it's wrong. No one is telling you to accept another's faith. But you have no business bashing anyone just because that person doesn't believe the same way you do. I'm against bashing, whether it's with words or a baseball bat. If you can't be tolerant of others, at least keep your mouth shut. What do you hope to accomplish by being critical? It's not going to change anything except make you look bad. I hope that answers your question.

Yes, it is. Just because one chooses not to believe in a certain religion doesn't mean that good manners can be thrown out the window. It is very impolite to bash another person's religious beliefs, regardless of how absurd you might personally think they are.

However, having said that, there's nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned religious discussion or debate, if handled in a respectful and tasteful manner, but that's a different issue altogether.

As an atheist I believe all religions are equally invalid. I still refrain from "bashing" out of respect not for the beliefs but the believers. Even if you feel compelled to convert some one of another faith to your own do so by exposing the positive aspects of your own religion rather than bashing theirs. Not only is likely to be more effective as it does not compel them to react as though personally attacked and tune you out but it is just plain nicer. Is it wrong to be nice?

Of course it's wrong. You can have civil discussions about other religions, but to bash religions that you don't believe in is not right.

I think it rather depends. If your belief involves trying to convert me and save my soul or telling a young girl that they mustn't have an abortion because it's murder than that's wrong and I will bash away. If you are religious and leave me alone, then good luck to you. Of course, you should respect me as a non-believer and not bash me.

Yes, it is wrong. If you do enough study into religions, even ones you don't believe in, you will find some ideas presented that DO match your own. All the worlds religions stemmed from the same thing, after all.

I wouldn't say it's right or wrong.. it's freedom of speech. I personaly believe in tolerance and respect. One can be confident in what they believe, calmly listen to other interpretations of gods, and can discuss a particular topic in a civilzed manner. It's very hard to do when it comes to religion b/c this world is so huge and holds thousands of diff. cultures and languages. It only makes sense that man, being fallable, would create so many ideas to whom God is. Yet, this is not a reason to disrespect or criticize in a self righteous manner b/c the only one that looks foolish is... you.

It's wrong. Besides that would you like it if the other party bashed yours?
You could question certain aspects you don't agree with. If they are not open minded about it, you can always agree to disagree.

It is wrong to bash anything. You cannot weigh in without intelligent knowledge of the subject. If you cannot say anything beneficial, do not say anything at all. Just because it does not work for you, does not mean that it is not beneficial to someone else.
