Eat healthy. Exercise more. THere's no magic, but it works.

Eat healthy: Cut garbage out almost entirely. You know what garbage is. No pop, no fried foods, no junk food snacks. Try not to overload on potatoes/pasta/rice/bread, though you can eat a reasonable amount. Reasonable amounts of meat. All the vegetables and fruit you want. Avoid fruit juice - fruit + water is much healthier. If you're hungry, eat more fruits and vegetables till you're not. There are lots of diets out there. But you don't need a diet to lose 90 lb on. You need a healthy eating lifestyle for the next 70 years. People who don't lose weight, its not because they aren't on the perfect diet, its because they don't stick to anything! You can do it.

Exercise - weight lifting will help. Cardio obviously - every day if you can. The idea is to elevate your heart rate and keep it up for 30-90 minutes. For fat-burning, you don't need a super high heart rate. (For improving heart health, you'd go higher). Remember, the goal is to hit a heart rate, not a speed. If you're overweight, brisk walking might put your heart rate into the fat burning range, and that's perfect.

GIve it time. You did not get 90 lb overweight in a few months, its not going to come off in a few months. But if you exercise more, control you're eating, and stick to healthy foods, you will lose weight and probably live longer.

A last tip that helps me avoid temptation - if you are tempted to eat something unhealthy, have this conversation with yourself: If I am going to eat one unhealthy thing this week, is this what I'd choose? Usually the answer is NO! In my case someone might offer me a donut. I like donuts, I'm tempted! Buf if I say, allright, one bad thing won't hurt me ... are donuts what I want? No! I'd rather have nachos! So I tell myself 'I'll skip the donuts and have natchos tomorrow, that's what I want'. Except normally I don't have the natchos tomorrow, because nobody is shoving them in my face. If you're like me, its easy to tell yourself 'its okay to eat this one bad thing'. So this really helps me - I bribe myself to pass over that 'one bad thing' with the promist of some better 'bad thing'.

Good luck! 1-2 lb a week is a healthy weight loss target. Just think you'll be smoking hot by the time you're 20 - maybe even 19. That may seem like a long time away, but seriously, by 20 - and for the rest of your life - you can have a fantastic body. Really. You can make it happen.

Hi Lucy
I strongly urge you to talk to a doctor first. If you are 90lbs over weight then he may have a from of medical intervention for you.
The last answer was perfect. Start moderating your proportions and start exercising on a regular basis. Places like the YMCA or a gym have personal trainers.
You need to find a way to get motivated. A 90lb loss can take a year and patience will be your best friend during this time. Eating really really healthy will benefit your mind, body and spirit. It is so important to cut out all trans fat, fast food and sweets.
I am on Slim in 6...it is wonderful. Started with their 2 day fast...dropped 7lbs with that and the exercise tapes can be done in moderation at your own pace.
Good luck. Pills, unless perscribed by your doctor will not work. Take care of yourself....you were only given one body and that body is a temple that you need to keep in good graces for the duration of your life.

eat healthy!!! when you eat junk food, you crave more, so you eat more. but when you eat health then you get filled up faster and stay full longer making you not so hungry all the time. even if your eating right though you still need to excersise and stay active.good luck
