they always just pick the person who likes the same thing as they do. instead of asking "whats your favorite band?" why don't they just ask "who else likes mcr?" ? or they could at least tell us their favorite band so we can lie and be like "oh yeah i love them too"

LOL you have a point anne! Yeah I love mcr really really really I do! btw who is mcr? (I am kidding on this one because I know it is My Chemical Romance but I am just using your example...LOL)
I guess those are the easiest ones to come up with, questions that is and you can get any answer under the moon...like "Yeah I like Tic Tac and the Doggies, wanna fight about it?" LOL Um now that I just made up and if there is a Tic Tac and the Doggies, then it is just a pure coincidence! LOL

I have thought of the exact same thing on more than one occasion...so i guess we both can't stand that huh? *wink* *wink* lol jk ..but yea, it's sorta ridiculous
i should clarify that i think it's ridiculous when the person always chooses the one who agrees w' them on the subject...not the questions themselves, those can be fun to answer

Why would you want to lie??
Is getting "best answer" that important to you??

That's why there is a "polls and surveys" area, so people can ask "what's your favorite __" type of questions...

Because maybe they just want to see what everyone else likes. Maybe they are searching for a new group to listen to or whatever....

We have run out of legitimate questions and there's nothing left but 'what's your favorite', 'am I pregnant' and those endless questions about burritos! happy holidays

they get more responses when they aren't as specific (like in your band example) and maybe that makes them feel special.

Because the less specific you are, the more people can answer your question. I like to answer those questions and I like to ask them too.
