There was a father who was always honest with his young son, so one day they were out for a walk and saw two dogs. "Daddy! What's that dog doing to the other dog?!" The father answered, "Why, they're making a puppy." This satisfied the fascinated little boy. Later that night he wandered in to his parents' bedroom. "Daddy! What are you doing to Mommy?!" His father answered, "We're making a baby." The son looked disappointed and then said, "Can't you get Mommy to roll over? I want a puppy!"

Dumbie! Everybody knows that!
Mummy and Daddy get together and decide they want a baby.
Then the stork brings one and puts it under a cabbage, rhubarb, or thistle plant for them to find!
(Mummy and Daddy celebrate the memory of their hunt to see which plant their baby was under by hiding eggs - a symbol of babies - at Easter time for the children to look for, part of their sex education so they know what to do when they grow up!)

they come from the soil.
when they live in the soil, they eat roots of plants in the winter and take nutrients from the soil and snack on bugs and insects in the summer
they live in the garden and until they are ready to come out, they eat the plants and sit on the mailbox naked.
