last time it was banned the only thing came out of it was a black market and lots of crime.

so I would say no, because even though we have problems with alcohol in our society right now, it will be much worst if we ban alcohol

No I work in a pub and I would be out of a job. The majority of people can enjoy a social drink . You will always have people who think they know best about how much they can drink. Their will always be people who think they know best about everything so where do you stop with banning things.I think people who sell alcohol to underage people should be heavily prosecuted though.

No. People should be more responsible. If you ban alcohol then where do you stop banning stuff?
Cigarettes - cancer
Chocolate - obesity
Pornography - sex crimes
Cars - pollution
There is an almost endless list. When do you stop protecting people and start infringing human rights.

God no! Where would the fun in life come from if it was? That anti-drink advert with the Batman character just reminds me of the good times alcohol has given me! And the various scars/injuries and injunctions too!

The sale of alcohol should be banned. That way they would have to give it away free!

No.

Prohibition in the 1930's in the US showed it would just go underground.

That said if you invented alcohol now, there is no way you get a licence for it. Its been around for thousands of years as a way to purify water

Look at what happened last time they did that. AND... we are expierencing the same thing now with the prohebition of marijuana.
Organized crime centered on the manufacturing and distrobution, billions of dollars coming from the tax payers to fund the war on drugs, over crowded prisons filled with non-violent criminals (just the standart pot heads), and accomplishing absolutely nothing.

You know it'd solve a lot of problems. I come from iran & it's banned there (people make their own at home or it's smuggled though) but there isn't the problem of alcoholism, not that i've heard of, there's no lacohol related crime etc
I think it's be good. or at least it should be discouraged, I think young people are pushed into it, as soon as you go to college or Uni, it's expected that you drink!
