I] Write an essay in which you argue that lying is sometimes necessary no matter the negative consequences
2] Write an essay showing that lying can never be justified under any circumstance using practical examples so that the arguement is not only theoretical

for the lying is good essay you can mention these points: sometimes you lie to make someone feel better (white lie)
lying is good because it helps get you out of hard situtation

for the other one you can say:
there will be NO trust in a society where lying is alowed
and that lying can decieve someone into something being
true which can lead to bad things

"Would you tell the Gestapo (the German army who killed Jews on sight in the second World War) - Would you tell them that you had Jews hidden upstairs in your attic?"

This is an example of a lie that is ?justified? It is an old debate. Good lluck

The first part is easy: sometimes little social lies are ok to protect someone's feelings. Everyone has been asked "Do I look fat in this" or "Do you like this food I cooked?" and not wanted to tell the truth.
