Because we're already one of the most over weight states in the union, the others are trying to catch up!

(Franchise laws are one factor.)

Actually, there's a Sonic in Benton Harbor Michigan from what I heard from a friend.

However, for years now, ther have been rumors of a Waffle House arriving in Michigan. Every day, it eseems to becoming a bigger and biger possibility. Let's just wait and see what the future holds for us.

there's also Cheeseckae factories in Twelve Oaks outside Detroit and one is opening in the Book Cadillac downtown once it reopens. These are the first of the cheesecake factories to open in Michigan. so just wiat and see.

Know nothing about "Sonic?" But with Waffle House, it's because they haven't gotten that far north yet! They started in Georgia, covered the South and have slowly moving northward, encroaching into Maryland and Pennsylvania several years ago. I don't think they've gotten any farther north than that . . . and frankly, don't seem very popular in PA.

We have so MANY restaurants in the west Michigan area, we certainly don't need another one. Heck, have them build one in Columbus, Ohio where they have nothing anyway.

Is because it is only in the south and the west. Your state is in the midwest.
