Why is it people assume money is the answer to every problem?

Some government program doesn't work, throw money at it. People are poor, throw money at them. Why is it people tend to ignore the cause of a problem in favor of just throwing money at it?

Because band-aids are easier to put on then stitches, and it's easier to quickly treat symptoms then to find a cure. In other words, money is the shallow quick solution. Throwing money doesn't take much time or effort, and it masks over the problem and shows that it's been acknowledged. But actually solving and getting to the root of a problem would take a long time, and people would complain about it constantly. So instead, they throw money at it to keep people quiet for a little while. Because even if the problem returns indefinitely, it always seems easier for the moment.

true it's smarter to fix the government programs that aren't working then just throw money at it. thought it usually will cost money to fix some things and if the reason the programs aren't working is because of lack of funding then throwing money at it would be a good ideal.

of course you have admit that throwing money at poor people would help them not be as poor.
