he ends up hitting me. I've tried to encourage him for marriage cancelling but he gives me excuses.

Marriage "cancelling" is what you need, not marriage counseling.
Nobody has the right to hit another person, especially if they are supposed to love them. The abuseiveness is a pattern that will progressively get worse.
If you have no children, I would run and get a divorce. He isn't going to change his ways except to slip more easily into being more abusive.
If you do have children then run also...but to a Womens or Family Crisis Center and then start divorce proceedings.

What is your question?
If it's whether or not you should leave a man who is abusing you, then the answer is "YES!"
If he's hitting you and he won't go to counseling, then the ball is in your court. Roll it right out the door and keep going.

the abuse will only get worse, you can not fix him. he has to recognize his problem. you need tofigure out what it is you really want out of life.
