In answer to the question "What does this have to do with books and authors?"

It is in reference to a popular novel. I'm just seeing how many people have read it and know what I'm talking about.

the one from the promo for the movie based on the book is in my car... always handy! (they passed out a towel to everyone who went to the movie preview at comic-con in SD a few years ago.)

My Marks and Spencer towel is my satchel with the Sub-Etha Sense-O-Matic, Electronic Thumb, several plays I'm pretending to be auditioning for, The Guide, some ball point pens and a note pad. Not to mention four packets of peanuts.
