Yes.

Plummer was not all the problem, but he was making really poor decisions.

The defense has so many injuries right now, even if Plummer could help them squeak into the playoffs, they wouldn't do much.

Cutler is going to be the QB of the future. Getting him ready this season is a small price to pay for improving over the next few years.

Now, we really need to replace Rod Smith, I'm sad to say.

At first I thought yes, being 7-4 and in the playoff hunt. But then I read Shanahan comments that basically said that 'just' making the playoffs was not the goal and was not good enough for this team....winning the SB is the only goal that matters and he felt with Plummer there was no way. Even with Cutler he conceeds no SB this year but he felt the time to start the QB rebuild was now. The future definitely is Cutler so why not now? He's looked OK so far, nothing great. Will be interesting to see if he can improve week by week. The kids got a great arm, all he needs is some experience.

As much as i hate to see them on this 4 game slide i think that the choice was a good one. even though they broncos have lost the 2 games cutler has started he has been a better QB than plummer. but they need an offense(Tatum Bell and Javon Walker can't do it by themselves) that can put points up, not to mention a backup TB that is consistant. the y need a #3 and #4 reciever. injuries on defense has just killed them this second half. but the choice Shanahan made was a good choice.

It's always fun to give the rookie a shot.

Plus, the Broncos needed to shake something up, and they definitely haven't worsened with Cutler at the helm.

Denver just needs to pull some other things together on gameday.

i say no. not at this point in the season. you dont change starters half way through the year unless you are out of the playoff picture.
