Yes it's real. I spent my summer holidays collecting starfish semen on the beach once - it's used to thicken toothpaste. I miss those little fellas.

If you believe it then you will believe in anythng. I think they use alcohol in spirit levels and i cant tell you weather fish fart or not but if they did i dont think you will beble to collect it.
