Hi, i am 16 yrs old. And i need to tell my friend that i have been diagnosed with cancer. He lives in Brooklyn, Ny and thats about 3 hrs from me. Ive decided to write a letter and inform him of it. However, ive been sitting for hours and i cannot get the right words to say. can someone give me ideas This is really important. Thanks.

ive tried telling him over the phone. It just didnt work out. I stumble over words. It has to be a letter, i cant go there because of being in the hospital to much but hes also busy.

This might be something that is best spoken. You should give him a call and tell him that you need to tell him something and it's going to be hard to deal with. Then just say the words. "I have cancer." If you're there for him to speak to it will be easier than reading a letter and having unanswered questions. Good luck.

I am sorry to hear that, maybe it would be better to invite him to visit you and tell him in person, or at least call him. It is a hard thing to deal with and a letter might not be the best way.

well u should either tell him on the phone or in person, because writing a letter isnt the best way to tell ur friend that u have cancer, i am so sry that u have cancer, but the best way to tel ur friend is tell him in person, so u give him a hug or somethign. because whn u say it in person u will know wat his feelings r about u having cancer. so good luck, and i hope u get past ur cancer

wow thats sad i hope ur ok but u have to tell him a letter is a good idea just say hey how are u im ok u know i was digonosed with cancer write wat kind and when u were digonosed tell him that u still want to be friends and u care about him

cancer is dicease like others. the real friend must accept this information as a friend in deed. dont look for the best manner to communicate this information to him. the best manner is: try to inform him as soon as possible. sure he loves you.

that's always hard but u hav to know that even thou it will bhard for them to hear they will acccept u no matter wat.i dunno if ur christian r catholic but u shuld pray for courage and hope that things will brighten up,i will pray for u as well and i hope that uwill one day find peace and happiness ,i'm assuming that ur slooknig for it just liek i am but i fu hav peace and happiness,then good for u,good luck and god bless=)a letter that is heart felt but seeing the person would b wiser and tellnig them by sitting them down and letting them konw wat ur gopnig thru would b good too,b honest bout it as well,don't hold bac,and u r probably scared of their reaction but u won't after they give u that big hug,it will bring u relief and joy that it's off yr chest.
