Turpentine comes from oil found in pine trees which is a gymnosperm.

Steel is obviously not an answer. That will come from ore and does not grow on trees.

Clothing. Clothing can be made from cotton and cotton comes from an angiosperm.

Angiosperms are flowering plants and certain types of cloth can be made from stems or flowers. Gymnosperms are cone-bearing (evergreens) which would produce turpentine if the sap were processed.
