I am a girl from India.I came to USA recently. Though people say that I am beautiful, I kinda have an inferior feeling. What do Americans think about Indian girls? Will they accept me as thier friend? Will my cultural difference make a problem? In India girls can't talk with guys until they get married.

Mostly they will be curious but reserved, not wanting to offend you. You will find that you absolutely fascinate some people and coudl talk for hours with them about the cultural differences and things like that. Generally, I have always thought Indian women were very attractive.

I can't answer for everyone, but I have no problem with anyone from India. I actually have friends from India and my cousin married a man from India. I think the behavior and respect of others depends on location and what they were taugh as a child. Just take things lightly, and try not to get upset; there will always be one jerk to ruin things.

I would accept you as my friend. I had several Indian friends in grade school, and that was years ago. Young women in this country are pretty progressive and open to meeting new people and making friends from other cultures. I think that some Indian woman are gorgeous.....I mean gorgeous! Be yourself while being respectful of others, and you will fit in just fine.

The really wonderful people will accept you and welcome you and not judge you until they know you. The nasty, prejudice, ugly and uneducated freaks who have to put others down to feel good will hate you. The good news is that you can tell the difference very easily!!!! Have fun. The ones who don't want to be friends with you because of your national origin are NOT worth knowing. So no loss!!! ;o)

Hey, if your hot, then your hot. It doesnt matter what race your in. This is America. If you cant talk with guys because its part of your culture/religion, then dont. This is America, you shouldnt have an inferior feeling.

One Indian girl was so popular in my school, probably because she was just talkitive and there were a lot of other Indian kids at the school. But of course, there will be people who will look down on you simply because you're an immigrant. Ignore them and find friendship where it's welcome.

You will have a little culture shock, but everything will be ok with you. Just be strong and confident. Be friendly and outgoing and you will have lots of friends. Also, don't compromise your morals just to fit in. Remember how you were raised.

well i had a male professor that was from India...and we got along great he even used to invited me to his house to eat dinner with his wife and kids...i treat everyone the same regardless of race...and they have beautiful and ugly people in every race so no one race is exclusively pretty...in terms of your inferiority...no one can get over that but yourself...have confidence in yourself becuz if you dont have it no one will...and i think you have to adapt somewhat to the culture that you are in...so you need to at least have a casual conversation with boy...that will help your confidence

They probably think you are beautiful and exotic. There are many beautiful Indian actresess and models. Like Padma Lakshimi and Aishwarya Rai!!
