Do you mean implantation of an IUD, for contraception? If so, yes, cramping IS common, but usually goes away after awhile (it varies from person to person). You may or may NOT get bleeding. Also, with the IUD, your cervix is more prone to allowing germs into the uterus, causing infection (P.I.D), which could lead to sterility or worse infection. So, be careful about hygiene, ESPECIALLY your partner's! Make sure he washes his genitals thoroughly AND his hands, after using the toilet, so he won't transfer germs into your uterus during sex.

well... i'm five weeks pregnant and I have been cramping here and there and no bleeding... someone told me that it's the uterus expanding in size to get ready for your growing fetus.. How many weeks are you???? well congratulations and many baby dusts to you...
