I am in my early 30s and have been married for 12 years. I have had a fantasy for the past 4 years or so that just will not go away. I meet a lady while up north on a skiing trip. Both of us have families but are there alone. We talk and have dinner. We basically then just spend the whole weekend in a cabin by the fire talking and snuggling. Sometimes there is sex and sometimes there is not. The strange part of this fantasy is that sex is not the important part. And trust me in most of my fantasies sex is pretty much the central issue. I am not sure what this one is really about. It has been a consistent one over the years though. In fact I recently spent a week in Washington State on a work trip and thought about it a lot. I have also had the desire to have an email or phone conversation with another women. Not about sex just about life. Why then is it important for it to be with a woman? I do not know but it is. Any thoughts?

IT'S NORMAL. I ALSO HAVE FANTASIES THAT DO NOT ALWAYS INCLUDE SEX. IN FACT, FOR ME PERSONALLY THE EROTIC MOMENT IN A CONVERSATION, A WALK, A RIDE ETC. WITH SOMEONE I LIKE TURNS ME ON MUCH MORE THAN THE SEX ITSELF. YOUR CASE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT. BUT ALSO COMPLETELY NORMAL. YOU ARE STILL YOUNG, AND APPARENTLY GOT MARRIED YOUNG. YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER WOMEN, ESPECIALLY WITH WOMEN YOU FIND INTERESTING AND DIFFERENT. AND IT'S NOT MANDATORY CONNECTED WITH SEX. Sounds like you and your wife are not connecting on a deep lasting friendship kind of way. You are longing to connect with a woman on a spiritual and emotional kind of way that is lacking in your life. Maybe you feel that your wife isn't really your soul mate. Either way, you need to make this fantasy a reality, with your wife. Talk to her, all night long if you have to. Rediscover each other on a mental level.

I beleive that the 'other' woman in your dreams represents your Mother. You need to evaluate your relationship or lack there of with your Mother and find out what you are missing from that stand point. Good luck

sounds like sex is not the important factor of your fanatasy because you are yearning for companionship intamacy and friendship if you have sex that is fulfilling to you it may not be all there is i think if your mate is not your best friend,confident, lover,
and the one you can share everything with then i think you should re evaluate why you are with whom your with/

YOU NEED TO THINK AND TALK ABOUT YOUR MARRIAGE AND SEE WHERE THAT IS IF IT IS NOT GOOD THAT COULD BE WHY YOU ARE HAVING THEM MAYBE SHE MADE YOU FEEL SPECIAL AND LOVED MAYBE SHE GAVE YOU SOMTHING YOUR WIFE DIDNT! AND CANT GIVE GOU GOOD LUCK!
