The Bible discusses promiscuous sex but not monogamous homosexual relationships

I think that most Christians are homophobic and hypocrites. I mean yeah most think the practice of homosexuality is wrong, but at least Catholics don't condemn people for being gay. Fundamentalists blow!

As a young man I was quit the homophobe. I am reformed. I still think the self evident correct use of reproductive organs would be reproduction and that therefore heterosexuality is the MOST correct answer. Being gay hurts no one or at least it should not unless of course it is consensual and leaves no permenant scars. I have met gays who lived lies and created "classic" style families destined for doom when they can no longer live the lie. This leaves confused and hurt ex-spouses and children feeling, well, lied to. Living a lie is wrong. At one point I thought homosexuals were really cool since mathmaticaly it made more women available to me. I was rather dispointed when on further reflection I realized there were also many female homosexuals negating that effect. Man, I can never catch a lucky break! So if being gay is not an incorrect answer maybe it is just silly? If you're peaved about me thinking your sexual preference is silly don't get too upset. I probably do lots of things you would think are silly and would appreciate an equal level of tolerance and understanding.

No there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. America is one of a very very few countries that doesn't openly support it due to the evangelical roots that we have but most countries have never had a problem with it. American Indians actually considered it a third gender and had normal gender roles for homosexual people.

Interestingly, the most hostile people about it are actually gay themselves or have had some negative child predator experience which they mistakenly equate to homosexuality. It's sad really.

From a Christian standpoint I believe that homosexual acts are sins. That means I will not engage in these acts and I will teach my children that they should not. I will not judge you or call you a sinner. I believe only God can judge us and it's also a sin to try to tell someone how he/she will be judged by God. Christ taught that we should treat everybody with love and respect no matter who they are or what they do. Anybody who discriminates against homosexuals is not following the teachings of Christ. Those self proclaimed christians who bash homosexuals and condemn them to hell are not christians at all. They spread hatred and do more harm than good in our society.

"That is something which not everyone can accept, but only those for whom God has appointed it. For while some are incapable of marriage because they were born so, or made so by men, there are others who have themselves renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven. Let those accept it who can." Jesus Christ

I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; dear and delightful you were to me; your love for me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women." Samuel1:26

Only insofar as you have to put up the the horsecrap from all the fundamentalist bigots out there. Take courage from the fact that most of us straights respect you for who you are and don't really give a rip about your inborn sexual orientation. We know you are not a threat to us or to our children.

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 20:13

"Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Romans 1:32.

You may believe it, but God may or may not agree. It is up to him to decide, not us. If you truely believe in the Christian God, read HIS book and decide how you want to live your life.
