well i tend to lean towards "pop punk" in that its essentially still pop music just that the artists play their own instruments and write their own music/lyrics. I call this pop with talent. Not britney spears junk.
I also like Christina Aguilera because she has an amazing voice and sings songs with meaning.
P.S. if you like Panic! i would suggest you listen to other bands such as Cobra Starship, Head Automatica, Hellogoodbye, and Men, Women and Children. Panic! at the Disco started my intrest in dance rock which ultimately led me to like the band that started it all "Gang of Four" a band from England that started in the 80's

My favorite kind of pop is the kind I have been specializing for 20 years, and that is pop new age. Now I am a fan of new age music, but don't be so ahrd on me. I intended my style of new age music to be available for the public since many other artists of my genre do not even care where their music goes (and obviously neither do I). I am a fan of Celtic rock and Freestyle, so the eternal question is asked: "What is your favorite kind of pop?"
