Ahhhh, that's a shame... Tell her she can celebrate her birthday when she's better. Maybe throw her a party, or take her and her friends out for lunch.

make her a nice cup of tea, rent some movies to watch with her (if she is not contagious), or for her to see alone if she is. a nice stuffed animal might be nice, also
