Does anyone know where the phrase "If it's too loud you're too old" originated from?

Thanks

Also just wondering who agrees/disagrees with this?

I think Fonzie said it to Mr. Cunnigham on Happy Days when he complained the Elvis was being played too loudly. Or maybe I just made that up. Sounds believable right?

I have no idea, but I disagree, and no I am not old, lol.
I have a neighbor that insists on blasting his car stereo while he washes his car, so much so that I have to turn up the tv in the living room so I can even hear it - now that is too loud.

It most probably refers to baby-boomers or early Gen-Xers who may have listened to hard-core rock or punk music.
