I'm looking to start a credit card referal website simliar to that of creditcards.com. I'm somewhat familiar with PHP, like their site, but what exactly would it entail to make a site like theirs. When you click on a specific card it says "please wait...", what is it doing and how would I go about doing so. Thanks.

you would need to hook up with some credit card companies (BECOME an affiliate with them)
they pay very nice commissions upwards of $200 per signup. You can find a few of them like chase cards, amex etc at CJ /linkshare

That's heavy geek work. You need to create a back end database. I think MySQL would get you on the right track.
