Is there a hero in A Midsummer Night's Dream?
Puck/Robin is suppose to be the antagonist/protagonist, but since there is no journey that takes place, is there a hero in Shakespeare's a Midsummer Night's Dream? and if so, who?

My guess would be there isn't one. Midsummer Night's Dream was Shakespeare's commentary on the stupidity of mankind. He pokes fun at the roles of society and "love".

I don´t remember much about the play, but since it is supposed to be a comedy, then, according to what I learned in school, the hero is supposed to be one of the girls. For example, strictly speaking, Romeo and Juliet is supposed to be a comedy, because the main character in the play is Juliet. In Shakespeare dramas, the main character is always supposed to be male, like Hamlet or Macbeth. So if what you mean by hero is main character, then it´s one of the women in the play. Hope this helps.

Since it isn't an epic poem or a tragedy, you won't have an epic hero or a tragic hero. In the mini-story of the mechanicals, Bottom functions rather like a hero, but in the main story of the couples, there is no 'hero' in the literary sense.
