Well...personally, I'd try to google or wiki that info.. But I know when I buy them as snake food (don't hate me now, I've had pet mice and rats as well, and take good care of the ones I get for food). But newborns are called pinkies, once they get fur, they're called fuzzies, and once they open their eyes and move around independently, they're called hoppers. I honestly don't think there's lots of fancy names for all those relations, but I may be wrong, As for care..they drink water from one of those bottles, I feed them Kaytee Mouse/Rat lab blocks, along with the occasional scrap of turkey, lettuce, carrots, and cereal with dried fruit, along with trail mix thats just crackers, fruit, and nuts, and sometimes if I have way too much money on my hands, those special little mouse treats. The most important thing about keeping your mouse though, is if you're going to have it in any wood shavings, it HAS to be aspen. Cedar and pine have aromatic oils which cause respiratory infections and other health problems. Good luck :)

Scientists call baby mice "pups". I'm sure that pet keepers have more endearing names for them.

Before they get their fur, herpers call them Pinkies.

I am a keeper of Pet Rats. Their babies are also scientifically known as "pups", but we affectionately call them Pinkies, or Ratlets, or Rits, or Rittens, or Squeakers, or Erasers, or................
